An Extraordinary General Meeting of the Association was held on
Saturday 12th February 2022 at 10.30 a.m. at the Royal Lymington Yacht Club.
The purpose of the meeting was to consider, and vote on, a resolution to amend
Clause 8(c) of the Class Rules to permit Claridge-built Scows to display either
the LR or WS insignia on their mainsails. The motion was PASSED and came into effect on 1st March 2022 and incorporated into the Class Rules.
Suspension of Class Rule 3g
At a meeting of the Lymington River Scow Class Association Committee, held
on Monday 11th October 2021, it was resolved that the suspension of Class Rule
3(a) be rescinded with effect from 1st January 2022. This rule states that a boat
shall not race unless her buoyancy certificate is updated and signed within the
previous 12 months.
