Class Rules of the Lymington River Scow Dinghy
The Class Rules were amended in 2011 and approved at the AGM in September 2011
At a meeting
of the Lymington River Scow Class Association Committee held on Tuesday 30th
March 2021, it was resolved that Class Rule 3(g) be suspended. This rule
stipulates that a boat shall not race unless her buoyancy certificate is
updated and signed within the previous 12 months.
This
resolution shall remain in force until it is amended or rescinded by the Class
Association Committee. This change to class rules conforms with the Racing
Rules of Sailing 2021-24, Rule 87.
At the AGM in September 2015 the following new class rule regarding the mainsheet bridle was approved.:
Add new Class Rule 6 g):
The mainsheet bridle shall be wire of finished nominal diameter not less than 5 mm or rope of any type of nominal diameter not less than 6 mm. The height of the underside of the bridle at its centre point when pulled firmly upwards above the forward edge of the transom on the centreline shall not be greater than 235 mm. This rule does not apply to unaltered builder supplied wire bridles supplied before 25/9/2015.
